Truth is -- affiliate marketing is way easier compared to 'brick and mortar' businesses. You don't have to worry about inventory, hiring the right guys, customer service, etc.
BUT very much like a 'brick and mortar' business, it needs your attention, time, and effort to apply the right techniques, and even if you're armed with the real money-making techniques it would take months of experience.

I personally find this funny! I'll let the facts speak for themselves:
- More than 1 billion of the world population are connected to the internet, and thousands more are adding to these digits everyday.
- Many households do their shopping online.
- Many online shops and malls are popping like mushrooms every minute.
- The introduction of high-speed internet (broadband) has made it easier for people to find what they're looking for online.
Does that resemble any market saturation to you? I don't think so.

"You can get everything you need to be a successful affiliate marketer from free online forums and other free resources."
Really? Why then many people from the same free forums are agonizing and whining about why they're yet to squeeze their first dime online?
Here's what: although I'm advising against the so-called "Gurus" selling you with Affiliate Marketing Mistake No.1, don't fall into Affiliate Marketing Mistake No. 2 either. Just like during our school days, we have to shell out dollars for learning resources.
BUT you have to make sure that the guys you're paying that money gives you the real deal on money-making techniques online. And with my long stint in this career, I can say that there are real people who are sincere in their endeavor to help to newcomers.
